UFC has set a welterweight main event between No. 10-ranked Joaquin Buckley (32, United States) and No. 12-ranked Mike Mallott (34, Canada) for UFC Fight Night at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on Oct. 18 (Korean Standard Time).
The main card of "UFC Fight Night: Buckley vs. Mallott" will be broadcast live at 9 a.m. on tvN Sports and Tving.
Buckley (21-8) is determined to thrill the crowd with another highlight-reel finish. The dangerous knockout artist has scored spectacular victories over Colby Covington, Stephen Thompson and Vicente Luque. He aims to silence the home crowd and use the win as a springboard into the welterweight top five.
Mallott (14-1-2) enters his second UFC main event looking to dominate and crack the welterweight top 10. The Canadian prospect, who came up through Dana White's Contender Series, has recorded memorable finishes against Gilbert Burns, Kevin Holland and Charles Radtke. Fighting on home soil, he is eager to deliver another finish that captivates his fans.
The card also features a flyweight matchup between No. 4-ranked Erin Blanchfield (27, United States) and No. 7-ranked Jasmine Jasudavicius (37, Canada).
Blanchfield (14-2) is aiming to extend her winning streak to three with a dominant performance. A Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, she has earned notable submission victories over Tracy Cortez, Jessica Andrade and Molly McCann. She looks to overwhelm Jasudavicius and defend her ranking.
Jasudavicius (15-4) is seeking to build on her victory over Karolina Silva last April. Known for her relentless fighting spirit, she has recorded memorable finishes against Jessica Andrade, Ariane da Silva and Priscila Cachoeira. Her goal is to defeat Blanchfield and break into the flyweight top five.
