Fila, operated in Korea by Misto Korea, announced Tuesday that its collaboration collection with Japanese fashion brand Needles sold out on launch day, and that it has unveiled a fourth collaboration collection with women's brand Ojos.

The limited-edition "FILA × NEEDLES" collection, released July 31 through Fila's official online store and its Fila 1911 Myeong-dong location, sold out entirely on the day of launch. Pre-launch restock notification requests totaled 626.

The black "Ventsei Track Jacket" — a track jacket featuring Needles' butterfly symbol — sold out online in about one minute. The remaining black setup items, including the "Ventsei H.D. Track Pants," sold out within roughly 10 minutes.

Needles is a brand founded in 1995 by Keizo Shimizu, the founder of Japanese fashion company Nepenthes. It is known for collections reinterpreting vintage, American casual and sportswear aesthetics, as well as its butterfly symbol, trackwear and H.D. pants.

Fila is now launching its fourth collaboration collection with women's contemporary designer brand Ojos. Built around the message "When two movements become one," the collection captures the moment ballet movement meets the energy of performance running. The collection's name, METAMORPHOSIS, refers to the process of transformation between different forms.

The collaboration features two styles: the "Fila × Ojos Ritmo Slick VC," which reinterprets the balletcore mood, and the "Fila × Ojos Float Max Dial," which incorporates Fila's performance running technology.

The Ritmo Slick VC is a ballet-style sneaker inspired by the upper design of Fila's 2004 archive model, the Script Spike. The Float Max Dial is based on Fila's performance running lineup, featuring ripstop mesh and no-sew detailing for a lightweight yet sturdy construction.

To mark the collection's launch, Fila will give a limited-edition duffel bag to customers who purchase the collaboration products on a first-come, first-served basis. "We expect the fourth collaboration with Ojos to once again propose a new style that crosses the boundary between sports and fashion, offering a differentiated brand experience," a Misto Korea official said.
