Daedong reported second-quarter consolidated operating profit of 41.23 billion won ($29 million), up 64.3 percent from a year earlier, the company disclosed Monday.

Revenue for the same period rose 12.7 percent to 467.08 billion won.

Net profit for the period came to 21.42 billion won, a preliminary 213.7 percent increase from a year earlier.
