North Gyeongsang Province is accepting applications for the 34th North Gyeongsang Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Award through Aug. 31, the provincial government announced Monday.
Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises headquartered in North Gyeongsang Province that have recorded sales for at least two consecutive years and meet sector-specific revenue thresholds and category nomination requirements.
Applications are open in four categories: management innovation, technology development, job creation and women-owned businesses.
The province will screen submissions through document review and on-site inspection, then convene a final judging committee. Seven companies in total — including an overall grand prize winner and category winners — will be selected and honored at an awards ceremony in December.
Winners will receive preferential access to small-business operating funds, a three-year deferral of local tax audits, promotional video slots on the electronic billboard at the provincial government building, and priority consideration for various provincial support programs.
Further details are available on the North Gyeongsang Province website.
"We will spare no effort in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises that lead the way in revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs, so they can grow with pride," said Lee Gyeong-gon, director general of the province's economy and trade bureau. "We hope many companies will take an interest and participate in this SME award, which has a long and distinguished history."
