LG Electronics has unveiled its next-generation wireless wallpaper TV, the LG Signature OLED W (model W6), at Harrods, the luxury department store in London.
According to LG Electronics, a special exhibition of the LG Signature OLED W is running from Friday through Aug. 26 in the Brompton Road shop windows along the first-floor exterior of the Harrods building.
The display is designed to complement the store's summer theme, "Golden Hour," with the TV set against a space bathed in amber lighting.
Visitors can experience the TV's picture quality and ultra-slim design both in the shop windows and inside the store.
LG Electronics organized the exhibition to strengthen the presence of LG OLED TVs in the British market. The company has held the No. 1 position in global OLED TV sales for 13 consecutive years since launching the world's first OLED TV in 2013.
The LG Signature OLED W measures just 0.9 centimeters thick — roughly the width of a pencil — achieved by reducing the size of every component, from the panel to the power board and speakers.
Using wireless transmission technology, the set delivers 4K video at a 165Hz refresh rate in real time with no loss in picture quality or signal delay.
The TV also features the third-generation Alpha 11, LG's latest AI processor for picture and sound, which delivers a 5.6-fold improvement in NPU performance to maintain sharp image quality even during fast-moving scenes. Graphics processing performance has also improved by 70 percent.
In the brightly lit shop-window environment, the set cuts light reflection to half the level of previous models, rendering perfect blacks and vivid colors to heighten immersion.
