Choi Min-wook won the 2026 Shinhan Investment G Tour 6th Major on Saturday at Golfzon Joimaru in Daejeon, claiming the title in a final round with a total purse of 120 million won ($84,600).
Choi posted a first-round 9-under-par and a second-round 8-under-par for a combined 17-under-par total, lifting the trophy for his 15th career G Tour victory, Golfzon CEO Park Kang-su announced Monday.
Starting the final round four strokes off the lead, Choi opened with a bogey on the first hole but then played bogey-free the rest of the way, carding nine birdies to claim the major title. He stayed composed down the stretch amid a crowded leaderboard, and a birdie putt from 0.8 meters on the 17th hole sealed his 15th G Tour win.
Yoon Jae-in, who entered the final round as the sole leader, gave back several strokes with early mistakes and will look to bounce back in the next event. KPGA player Kim Han-byeol, who has shown strong ball-striking form on the G Tour since returning from military service, again impressed with clean play and finished as runner-up alongside Soon Ji-ho, Lee Seong-hun and Yeom Don-ung.
Yeom, who joined the field late through an offline qualifying round, drew roars from the gallery when he made an albatross on the 15th hole of the final round.
"I am also preparing for the first-division tour, and the TwoVision NX Plus system has been a great help in replicating on-course shot shapes," Choi said. "I will work hard to show my best both on screen and on the course as I aim for the G Tour money title and player of the year award this season."
