Guro-gu is recruiting residents to participate in small public forums aimed at identifying community governance projects for 2027, in which residents and the district office will work together to address local issues, district Mayor Jang In-hong announced.
The forums build on a resident proposal competition held from May 11 to June 30 and a large public forum held July 4, using the agenda items identified through those earlier sessions to discuss concrete action plans and develop them into formal public-private governance projects.
The small public forums will be held Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the lifelong learning center on the second floor of the district office's new building.
The first session will cover public-private governance, traffic safety, youth and cultural libraries, while the second will take up child welfare, digital coexistence, urban safety and the living environment. Residents may choose the topics they wish to attend and may register for more than one.
Anyone with an interest in Guro-gu is welcome to participate, with roughly 10 spots available per topic.
Applications must be submitted by the day before each forum, either by scanning the QR code on the poster or by phone.
Opinions gathered at the forums will undergo review and consultation with relevant departments before being pursued as 2027 public-private governance projects.
