Professional photographers to provide editorial-style photos and short-form videos at scenic locations across the city
Naju, in South Jeolla Province, is turning its scenic landscapes into wedding photo shoots, inviting engaged couples to be photographed against the city's most picturesque tourist sites each season.
Naju city, led by Mayor Yoon Byeong-tae, announced Friday it is recruiting three engaged couples for outdoor wedding photo shoots at local tourist attractions. The resulting images and videos will be used as tourism promotional content.
One couple will be selected for each of three seasons — summer (August–September), autumn (November) and winter (December) — and photographed at major tourist sites around Naju.
The project aims to capture the natural moments and stories of engaged couples against Naju's landscapes and landmarks, showcasing the seasonal appeal of the city's tourist destinations through photos and video.
Shoots will take place at sites that offer distinct scenery in each season, with plans to produce editorial-quality wedding photos set against lush summer greenery, the deepening colors of autumn and the quiet atmosphere of winter.
Participating couples may propose their preferred concept and mood, and will work with a professional photographer beforehand to craft a personalized wedding photo shoot that tells their own story.
A professional photographer will handle all aspects of production, from on-site direction and photo retouching to the creation of vertical short-form videos.
Rather than heavy staging, the focus will be on natural moments — walking together, laughing and talking — woven into scenes that highlight Naju's landscapes and seasonal character.
Each couple will receive the finished high-resolution retouched photos, original images and a vertical short-form video. The materials will also be used in Naju's tourism promotional campaigns.
Participants are responsible for their own attire — including wedding dress and tuxedo — as well as hair, makeup and personal props. Naju city will cover all photography and video production costs.
Couples will be selected based on scheduling availability and whether they reside in Naju, among other factors. Those chosen will be notified individually.
Interested couples may apply through the application page linked in a pop-up on the official Naju Culture and Tourism website.
"We expect this project to produce emotionally resonant content that goes beyond conventional tourism promotion, born from the meeting of Naju's beautiful scenery and the precious moments of couples beginning their lives together," Mayor Yoon said. "We hope it gives participating couples a special memory to cherish for years, and gives tourists a chance to discover a new side of Naju."
