The rollout of generative medical AI in clinical settings is now underway.
Deepnoid, a first-generation medical AI company led by CEO Choi Woo-shik, said Monday it has signed a supply contract with Pusan National University Hospital for its AI solution M4CXR.
M4CXR is a generative AI-based solution that automatically produces preliminary findings from chest X-rays. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety granted the product medical device clearance in late June.
"This is the first supply deal concluded since receiving product clearance," Deepnoid said. "It marks the full-scale introduction of generative medical AI into actual hospital settings."
Pusan National University Hospital is a tertiary general hospital with more than 1,000 beds and serves as a regional hub medical institution. The contract falls under the Ministry of Health and Welfare's project to support AI-based clinical systems at regional responsible medical institutions. Deepnoid said it plans to use the deal as a springboard to expand the commercialization of generative medical AI across domestic hospitals.
"Starting with this case, we will deliver clinical value and business results that can be felt on the ground," Choi said. "We will also broaden the application of our generative medical AI solutions to CT, MRI and other modalities going forward."
