As August arrives with summer heat at its peak, retailers and fashion platforms have launched a wave of discount events targeting last-minute demand for summer clothing.

Fashion platform W Concept will kick off a two-week clearance event called "Season Final Call" from Monday through Aug. 16, offering discounts of up to 87 percent on roughly 90,000 spring-summer season items across its fashion, accessories and lifestyle categories. The platform will issue double-discount coupons of 10 and 14 percent by category and run a series of special-price events. Fall-winter off-season products will also be available at up to 60 percent off.

SSG.com will hold its "Shopping Express" event from Monday through Aug. 9, discounting fashion, beauty and home appliance products by up to 60 percent. Fashion brand Lucky Chouette will offer up to 45 percent off with an additional 20 percent discount. Kolon Sport off-season outerwear, home appliances from Smeg and Samsung Electronics, and children's products will also be available at reduced prices.

Shinsegae Live Shopping is running a "Summer Fashion Outlet" through Sunday, discounting popular spring-summer fashion items that aired on TV home shopping channels by up to 30 percent. After searches for "ramie dresses" on its app more than doubled this week compared with last week, the platform stocked up on summer staples including linen pants and ramie dresses. It also organized price-tier deals at 40,000 won ($28), 50,000 won and 60,000 won to make shopping more convenient for budget-conscious customers. Exclusive fashion brands sold only through Shinsegae Live Shopping — including Bluefit, Edited, Shinsegae Men's Collection and Gilaroche — are also available at discounted prices.

Athleisure brand Xexymix is running a "Summer Season Off" promotion on its official online store through Aug. 28, offering a 10 percent discount coupon with unlimited usage during the event period. The brand will also feature flat-rate deals ranging from 9,000 won to 39,000 won, and customers who spend 150,000 won or more will receive a pair of symbol crew socks on a first-come, first-served basis.
