Jungnang-gu is accepting submissions for the autumn edition of its "Jungnang Happiness Board" from July 27 through Aug. 7, district mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi announced.
The competition invites residents to submit original phrases of up to 30 characters on the theme of autumn — words that resonate across generations and offer comfort and encouragement to the community.
Anyone who lives in Jungnang-gu or works at a business within the district is eligible to enter, with a limit of one submission per person. Entries can be submitted online through the Jungnang district office website via the "Resident Participation → Online Submission → District Office" menu. Those unable to apply online may also submit in person or by mail to the Administrative Support Division.
A selection committee made up of internal and external members will review all entries and choose six works in total. The winner receives 500,000 won ($341) in Seoul Love gift certificates, while five runners-up each receive 100,000 won in the same form.
The selected phrases will be displayed on the exterior wall of the Jungnang district office from September through November, alongside designs reflecting the mood of autumn.
"We hope many residents will take an interest and participate in this edition of the Jungnang Happiness Board," district mayor Ryu said. "We look forward to receiving many phrases filled with the rich sensibility of autumn."
In the previous summer competition, Yun Hun-hui's entry — "The leaf that endures the scorching sun becomes the deepest green" — was selected as the winning work.
