BTS member Jungkook heaped praise on director Na Hong-jin's film "Hope" after watching it.

On Monday, Jungkook posted a brief review on his social media, writing simply: "Hope is fun."

He then shared a more detailed take during a Weverse live broadcast.

"I really enjoyed it. I watched it in 4DX and the sense of immersion was incredible. I heard opinions are divided on this one, but I had a great time," he said.

He added, "I was completely absorbed — there were a lot of funny moments, too. The chase scenes had me on the edge of my seat, palms sweating. There are probably some ARMY members who haven't seen it yet, but the pace and the feeling of being right there in the action were truly outstanding. Anyway, I really, really enjoyed it."

Director Na quickly reposted Jungkook's message on his own social media, indirectly signaling his delight at the reaction.

"Hope" is a science-fiction film set in the fictional city of Hopohang near the demilitarized zone, where an unidentified creature arrives and lays waste to the town.

While some viewers have taken issue with the film's heavy use of profanity and its third-act developments, the starkly divided audience reaction has itself become a draw, pulling more people into movie theaters.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing system, "Hope" drew about 767,000 viewers from Friday through Sunday, capturing a 66.8 percent share of box office revenue and topping the domestic box office for the weekend. The film surpassed 3 million admissions on Saturday — its 11th day in release — bringing its cumulative audience to approximately 3.415 million.
