Israeli military chief of staff Eyal Zamir said Wednesday that Israel is prepared to continue fighting on all fronts as armed conflict between the United States and Iran has in effect resumed.
Zamir visited the southern Lebanon operational zone that day and told officers that "military operations across all fronts are not yet over, and we must be ready for operations to continue," adding that Israel has "prepared a wide range of scenarios to respond to any change in the situation."
On Lebanon specifically, he stressed that "if necessary, we will advance deeper and reach other areas."
Zamir's remarks came as signs emerged that the armed conflict between the United States and Iran could intensify again, while tensions in Lebanon also rose after a Hezbollah drone struck Israeli military engineering equipment.
