Heo Young-ji of K-pop group Kara has revealed she was stalked for seven years.

Heo said on the upcoming MBN and SBS Plus program "Naega Mannan Saikopaesu," a show about encounters with psychopaths set to air Sunday, that "there was someone who tormented me for about seven years starting in 2016."

The stalker visited a cafe run by Heo's parents and waited there, collected the family's vehicle license plate numbers, and repeatedly contacted her parents and older sister.

Heo's parents had given the stalker food thinking he was a fan, but he reportedly twisted this into believing it was their way of "acknowledging the relationship between us."

The stalker also sent letters to other fans saying he wanted to "kill them all," Heo said, describing his extreme obsession and violent tendencies.

Super Junior's Kyuhyun also shared an experience of his own, recounting how a fan once hid inside a fire hydrant cabinet and broke into the dormitory where the group was staying during activities.

Heo joined Kara through the talent show "Kara Project" in 2014. She made her official solo debut in 2023, nine years after her group debut, and has since appeared on a variety of entertainment programs.
