Education company Creverse said it participated in the 2026 Korea National University of Education EduTech Fair, held Friday and Saturday, showcasing HUMMINGo, its AI-based English essay assessment solution.
The event, held at Belfore Resort in Jeungpyeong, North Chungcheong Province, brought together public education officials from across the country to share edtech use cases and education solutions for the future. About 670 school administrators, education office officials and classroom teachers attended the two-day event.
HUMMINGo was given a dedicated presentation session at the fair. The presentation highlighted the solution's AI assessment engine, which goes beyond simple spell-checking and grammar correction to comprehensively analyze students' logical development and use of supporting evidence, helping strengthen critical thinking skills.
At the exhibition booth that followed, classroom teachers reviewed the level of feedback available for actual English performance assessments and examined the solution's applicability in public school settings. Teachers responded positively to the AI's consistent scoring approach and its precise individualized feedback capabilities.
Creverse announced at the event that it plans to officially launch a public-school edition of HUMMINGo in January 2027. The company said it will refine the solution — already validated at overseas schools and Cheongdam Language Institute — for the domestic public school environment, with the aim of systematically supporting English writing and speaking performance assessments as well as essay and descriptive evaluations at middle and high schools.
The public-school edition focuses on reducing teachers' administrative workload by strengthening assessment management and class administration features suited to actual school settings, while providing students with an objective evaluation environment free from subjective bias. About 50 percent of public education officials who visited the booth during the event made advance reservations for a pilot trial of the public-school edition, demonstrating strong demand.
"Through this event, we confirmed that there is genuine demand for HUMMINGo in domestic public school settings, beyond the overseas schools where it has primarily operated," a Creverse official said. "We plan to build a track record of real-world case studies and references with various schools going forward, not only to advance the AI capabilities but also to secure the reliability and public-school suitability of our assessments."
