Over 10 AI agents targeting real workplace challenges unveiled

Lotte Innovate said Thursday it is accelerating Lotte Group's AI transformation, known as AX, through AI agents customized for each affiliate.

Lotte Innovate serves as the engine connecting the group's AI adoption to tangible business results. The company has been rolling out AI agents that reflect the operating environment and on-site needs of individual affiliates, boosting work efficiency and extending AI applications across management decision-making, customer service and overall business operations.

The technology is already proving itself in the field. An AI voice-translation service built on the integrated AI platform Aimember accurately recognizes workers' speech and delivers multilingual translation even in noisy construction environments. Developed to handle specialized construction terminology, the service was introduced at Lotte Engineering & Construction last year and expanded to Daewoo Engineering & Construction in May.

Ahead of the "2026 Second-Half Lotte Value Creation Meeting" held Wednesday at Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, Lotte Innovate showcased more than 10 AI agents developed for real workplace use at an AI exhibition staged alongside the event. The showcase introduced key executives to AI agent use cases and briefed them on the group's AX progress.

The AI agents go beyond conventional generative AI that simply retrieves information or drafts documents. They are designed to support the actual execution of tasks using a company's internal data.

The agents were developed to address real challenges across a range of business sectors, including food, retail, chemicals and infrastructure. In the food and retail segment, the showcase featured price monitoring, raw-material cost and product demand forecasting, and a store competitiveness diagnostic tool driven by consumer review analysis.

In the chemicals segment, Lotte Innovate demonstrated a function that analyzes global market outlooks for the petrochemical and electric vehicle battery industries. The infrastructure segment featured tools for identifying new project candidate sites and predicting content performance. A voice- and motion-recognition-based AI assistant was also presented, further broadening the scope of AI applications.

The services incorporate generative AI powered by large language models alongside retrieval-augmented generation, or RAG, technology. They analyze internal corporate data to deliver needed information in real time, and support conversational interactions through speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities.

Lotte Innovate plans to advance the agents into an agentic AI form integrated with enterprise systems such as groupware and ERP platforms, raising the level of workplace automation further.

Lotte Innovate also provides end-to-end AI services spanning development, infrastructure buildout and operations by combining its AI, cloud and data center capabilities. On that foundation, the company aims to accelerate Lotte Group's AX while expanding its enterprise AI business to corporate customers across a range of industries.

"The AI agents we unveiled are enterprise AI services designed for immediate use across diverse real-world operations," a Lotte Innovate official said. "Drawing on our accumulated field experience, we will advance the group's AX and expand our enterprise AI business to lead AI transformation across various industries."
