The North Gyeongsang Provincial Assembly held a job training session for all its members Wednesday at the assembly's multipurpose hall to strengthen the capacity of lawmakers in the 13th council.

The training was designed to help members of the newly constituted 13th assembly systematically build the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed for their legislative duties, enabling them to meet the expectations of provincial residents.

Specialists in local council affairs led sessions covering topics directly applicable to legislative work, including an overview of the Local Autonomy Act, the drafting and review of ordinances, and techniques for examining local fiscal matters and budget and settlement reports.

Assembly Speaker Kim Hui-su said the 13th North Gyeongsang Provincial Assembly would work to build a council that continuously learns and conducts research. "All members will participate actively in training with a strong sense of responsibility and passion, and we will do our utmost to realize an assembly that earns even greater trust from the people of the province," he said.
