Shinsegae department store announced Wednesday it will hold a "Shinsegae Cow Day" event in partnership with the Hanwoo Self-Sufficiency Fund.

The event is designed to boost hanwoo beef consumption, support cattle farmers and give customers a value-driven shopping opportunity. It runs Thursday through July 26 at the meat counters of 10 Shinsegae department store locations.

Customers using a Shinsegae app coupon can purchase first-grade sirloin (250g) for 16,900 won ($11) and bulgogi (500g) for 15,200 won. A range of hanwoo cow beef will also be available at special prices, including first-grade sirloin (100g) at 12,900 won, first-grade brisket (100g) at 5,900 won and bulgogi (100g) at 4,500 won.
