Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant will accept applications for its college student scholarship program from Wednesday through July 29, offering financial relief to residents living near the plant and their university-enrolled children, the plant announced Tuesday.

Applications may be submitted in person at the first floor of the Wolsong Sports Center in Naari, Yangnam-myeon, or by mail or email. In-person submissions are accepted on weekdays, excluding the lunch hour.

To be eligible, applicants must have lived continuously for at least three full years — as of the application deadline — in Yangnam-myeon, Munmudaewang-myeon or Gampo-eup. Both residents themselves and their college-student children are eligible, though students on a leave of absence are excluded.

Applicants must submit an application form, academic transcripts and a copy of their bank account, along with other required documents. Further details are available on the Wolsong plant's official website or through its community relations department.
