Gyeongbuk Health University held a healing and wellness retreat for working nurses in North Gyeongsang Province on Friday, hosting the "2026 Working Nurses Healing Program: Rest, Recovery and Back to Nursing" at Sayuwon garden in Gunwi, North Gyeongsang Province.

The program was organized as part of the RISE (Regional Innovation-centered University Support) project.

Twenty working nurses from medical institutions and public health agencies across North Gyeongsang Province took part, including staff from Gimcheon Medical Center, Gimcheon Jeil Hospital, Gimcheon Neuropsychiatric Hospital, the Gimcheon City Public Health Center and local school health teachers.

The day's activities included a lecture on the value of rest and nurses' resilience, group mentoring sessions between professors and working nurses, a private guided tour of Sayuwon, a dinner and networking event, and an emotional-sharing talk and healing session.

Lee Seung-hee, director of the university's AI Health Innovation Center, said the school would continue working with local medical institutions to offer a range of education and healing programs supporting nurses' emotional recovery and professional development.
