Yeongdeungpo-gu District Chief Jo Yu-jin attended the 5th Disability Inclusion Darts Tournament on Friday afternoon at the Singil Chaengmaru Cultural Center.
About 200 participants, event staff and volunteers gathered for the competition. Jo presented commendations to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to disability sports and spent time engaging with recreational athletes.
The Yeongdeungpo-gu Disability Sports Association organized the tournament to expand opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in recreational sports and support healthy leisure activities.
"I hope this becomes a festival where all athletes enjoy the competition, connect with one another, and cheer on each other's potential and courage," Jo said. "We will continue to promote disability sports and provide tailored program support so that everyone can enjoy sports in their daily lives without discrimination and lead healthy lives."
