HS Hwaseong received an encouragement award in the large-scale construction category at the "2026 Risk Assessment Best Practices Competition," organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the company announced Thursday.

The competition drew more than 120 workplaces nationwide and was conducted through a series of evaluation stages, including regional preliminary reviews, regional presentations, national preliminary screening, on-site inspections and a final national presentation.

HS Hwaseong advanced from the regional round with the top score in its category before claiming the encouragement award in the large-scale construction division at the final stage. The recognition entitles the company to incentives next year, including deferrals of occupational safety and health inspections and oversight reviews.

Ji Min-ju, head of the HS Hwaseong safety team, said the company would continue to strengthen prevention efforts centered on risk assessment. "We will keep working to ensure that safety is established as the top priority at every site," she said.
