Samil PwC is rolling out an AI-powered solution to help companies manage the growing burden of sustainability disclosure requirements at home and abroad.
The firm announced Thursday the launch of its Sustainability Solutions platform, an integrated system that supports the entire disclosure process — from materiality assessments and data management to report drafting — within a single platform.
The platform draws on Samil PwC's years of experience operating data management solutions and providing consulting services to large corporations. Newly added features include AI-driven report drafting capabilities and a materiality assessment module, extending the platform's reach beyond large enterprises to mid-sized companies as well.
The system manages the full disclosure workflow in one place: it automatically links key issues identified through materiality assessments to report sections and converts quantitative data into disclosure report formats. AI capabilities allow the platform to analyze prior-year reports, standard language templates and interview transcripts to auto-generate draft reports. Additional features include terminology-specialized Korean-English translation and data anomaly detection.
In addition, the platform includes a built-in database of standard report structures and language reflecting major disclosure standards and the requirements of global rating agencies, helping companies carry out disclosure work more systematically.
Samil PwC said it expects the platform to address many of the practical challenges companies face. Shim Jae-kyung, a sustainability platform partner at Samil PwC, said companies often struggle to maintain consistent data and drafting standards when staff changes or cross-departmental collaboration is involved. "This platform was designed to strengthen workflow continuity and allow even companies preparing sustainability disclosures for the first time to respond more efficiently by drawing on Samil PwC's standard report structures and language database," he said.
Yoon Young-chang, a sustainability platform partner at PwC Consulting, said sustainability disclosure is no longer optional but a core management responsibility that companies must manage on an ongoing basis. "We will support companies in responding efficiently and sustainably to the evolving disclosure environment through a platform that combines global expertise with AI technology," he said.
Meanwhile, Samil Accounting Corp., which operates on a June fiscal year-end, posted sales of 1.11 trillion won ($735 million) for the fiscal year ended June 2025, up about 8.4 percent from the prior year. Operating profit for the same period surged 55.6 percent year-on-year to about 25.4 billion won, reflecting both top-line growth and improved profitability.
