Actor Choi Min-su has drawn attention after a story emerged of him refusing to continue filming until a crew member had been properly fed.

A former entertainment camera director, identified only as A, recently shared the account on Instagram, describing an incident that took place while filming at Choi's home.

"I arrived early in the morning and was setting up the camera when Choi Min-su asked if I had eaten," A wrote. "I just said, 'No, I haven't,' and that turned out to be the spark for something huge."

A recalled that Choi's expression immediately hardened and he went looking for the producer. "'Didn't I tell you to make sure all the staff have eaten before they start work? Are you sitting there eating a sandwich by yourself?' He gave the producer a real dressing-down," A wrote. "Then he told me to sit at the dining table, and a meal was set out for me — the same food he was about to eat. He said he wouldn't film until I had finished."

"I was the most junior person there at the time. With nearly 30 staff watching, I could barely swallow a bite. I tried to wolf it down and get up, but he told me to eat at his pace. So I sat there in front of everyone and matched him bite for bite," A wrote. "I was grateful, but honestly it was a lot of pressure."

A went on to say, "I had heard he looked out for the junior staff, but when it comes down to it, being on the receiving end felt different. It was genuinely impressive to see the most senior person on set look out for the person at the very bottom," expressing gratitude for the gesture.
