Singer Im Young-woong has confirmed a concert in September, setting the stage for another fierce ticket battle.
The schedule and details for his 2026 concert "IM HERO — THE STADIUM 2" were posted Tuesday on Im's official social media accounts.
According to the announcement, the concert will run for three days beginning Sept. 4 at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province. Tickets go on sale through NOL Ticket on Thursday at 8 p.m.
Im's concerts have consistently sold out every showing almost instantly from the moment tickets become available. The rush of fans trying to secure seats has repeatedly triggered what fans call "pik-eting" — a portmanteau of "picking" and "ticketing" describing the frenzied scramble — and this concert is expected to be no different.
The upcoming shows will mark Im's second stadium-scale concert, following a previous performance at a World Cup stadium. His agency said the production would feature "upgraded songs, staging and scale compared to before."
Im rose to fame after winning the trot music talent show "Mr. Trot," which aired in 2020. He has since released a string of hits, including "Ije Naman Mideo-yo" and "Sarangeun Neul Domangga," and remains one of the country's most active performers. He is currently appearing on the SBS program "Sangol Chonggak Yeong-ung," a variety show in which he shows audiences a more casual, down-to-earth side away from the concert stage.
