LG Electronics said Tuesday its second-quarter consolidated operating profit rose 146.9 percent from a year earlier to 1.58 trillion won ($1.03 billion).

Revenue for the same period came in at a preliminary 23.83 trillion won, up 14.9 percent on-year.
