Kyochon Food & Beverage announced Sunday that it held the "2026 Daegu Chimaek Festival Charity Donation Ceremony" at the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross and presented a donation of 10 million won ($6,490).

The funds will go toward supporting about 1,000 migrants in the Daegu area, including marriage immigrant women and migrant workers. Plans include monthly deliveries of Kyochon chicken to migrants studying Korean at local migrant centers, along with programs such as a summer camp for migrants and a chuseok event for the local migrant community.

Kyochon has consistently carried out community outreach tied to the Daegu chimaek festival since 2017. "Going forward, Kyochon will continue sharing warmth with our neighbors in the ways we do best," a company official said.
