Singer Lee Chan-won has shared an update on Jung Dong-won, who is currently serving in the Marine Corps.

On Saturday, Lee appeared on the MBC variety program "Surprise Mystery Salon" and spoke about Jung.

Comedian Kwak Beom, who was also on the show, said he had enlisted in the Marines at 20 "just to show off" and began regretting it "about 48 minutes after getting in."

Lee then brought up Jung's experience in the Marines.

"Even before he was admitted, he said he was overwhelmed by the strict military discipline," Lee said. "He contacted me just the day before saying, 'Hyung, please come visit me. Save me.'"

Jung, born in 2007, enlisted in the Marine Corps in late February. He is currently serving with the artillery brigade of the Marine Corps' 2nd Division.
