Village bus fares in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, will increase July 11.
According to the city, fares based on transit card payments will rise across all passenger categories: the adult fare will go up 200 won to 1,650 won, the youth fare will increase 150 won to 1,160 won, and the children's fare will rise 100 won to 830 won.
The city said a fare adjustment was unavoidable as rising labor and fuel costs have continued to increase the financial burden on village bus operators.
