Ferrari on Saturday unveiled the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale, a limited-edition special series based on the 12Cilindri, marking the model's global debut.

The company said the 12Cilindri Manuale was designed for drivers who seek a physical, visceral driving experience without sacrificing practicality.

Central to the car is the "Manuale by Wire" system, developed and engineered entirely in Maranello and making its debut in this model. The system comprises two key innovations — a manual control unit and a new clutch pedal — that together deliver a distinctive and unmatched driving feel.

The vehicle can be driven in manual mode across first through sixth gear and reverse, or switched to automatic mode, giving drivers the freedom to choose between full engagement and relaxed comfort.

The manual control system consists of a mechanical module equipped with sensors and an advanced kinematic mechanism. The module faithfully reproduces the mechanical resistance of a traditional Ferrari manual gearbox during synchronization, gear engagement and disengagement. If the driver fails to depress the clutch or selects an impermissible gear, the system mechanically blocks engagement, ensuring the gear cannot fully mesh.

The interior reinterprets iconic elements from classic Ferrari models fitted with manual transmissions in a contemporary idiom. The gear shift gate retains the traditional six-speed pattern, with reverse positioned at the upper left. The round aluminum gear knob features backlit graphics that intuitively display both the current gear position and the active driving mode — manual or automatic.

The center tunnel console has been redesigned for optimal ergonomics in both manual and automatic modes. The pedal layout forms a triangular arrangement with the steering wheel and seat, completing a driver-focused cockpit. Ferrari's signature gear shift gate preserves the brand's heritage while harmonizing with the car's overall design language.

Production is limited to 1,499 units worldwide. Ferrari said the number was inspired by the displacement of the brand's first 12-cylinder engine, built in 1947, and is intended to symbolize the model's singular identity.

"This new car was developed for Ferrari enthusiasts who have a deep passion for the front-engine V12 two-seater Berlinetta lineup and who crave the intuitive, visceral thrill of driving felt through every part of the body," a Ferrari spokesperson said.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri draws inspiration from the iconic Ferrari gran turismo models of the 1950s and 1960s, blending elegance, versatility and raw performance to embody the full identity of Ferrari's front-engine two-seater V12 lineage.

At its heart sits a new 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 830 hp and revving to 9,500 rpm. Top speed exceeds 340 km/h, and the car accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just three seconds.

Earlier this year, Ferrari held a media preview of the Ferrari 12Cilindri Tailor Made at its Banpo showroom in Seoul, introducing the philosophy and features of its exclusive customer program, Ferrari Tailor Made.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri Tailor Made was created specifically for the Korean market. It was produced over two years in collaboration between Ferrari's European Styling Centre and Coolhunting, a North America-based global creator platform, together with young Korean artists Jeong Da-hye, Kim Hyeon-hui, Graycode, Jiin and Lee Tae-hyeon.
