President Lee Jae Myung will chair a public-private joint review meeting on the semiconductor cluster at Cheong Wa Dae on Sunday.

Cheong Wa Dae chief spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced the meeting Thursday, saying it was organized to ensure the smooth implementation of the "Three Mega Projects for Korea's Great Leap Forward."

Kang said attendees will include President Lee, Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik, Policy Director Kim Yong-beom and other Cheong Wa Dae officials, along with the deputy prime minister for economic affairs, ministers from related ministries including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the mayor of the South Jeolla-Gwangju integrated special city.

President-level executives from Samsung Electronics and SK hynix are also expected to participate.

Earlier, President Lee outlined the three mega projects over a series of visits on June 29, June 30, July 2 and Thursday, traveling to the southwestern, Chungcheong and Yeongnam regions to signal strong government commitment to supporting advanced industry development nationwide.
