Mapo-gu District Mayor Yu Dong-gyun held the first staff assembly of the ninth elected term Wednesday morning in the grand hall on the second floor of the Mapo-gu district office, sharing the administration's policy direction and vision with employees.
Yu presented the ninth elected term's slogan — "Mapo on the Move Again! A Future Together" — and said the district would move beyond performative governance to deliver tangible changes that residents can feel in their daily lives.
He outlined five core policy areas: improving the living environment, AI-driven administration, making care services part of everyday life, promoting culture and tourism, and supporting education and youth.
Yu said the district would accelerate redevelopment and reconstruction projects and create an environment where all residents can enjoy sports and physical activity in their daily lives, including through the construction of a multipurpose culture and sports center at Saeteosan.
He identified constant communication with staff as essential to realizing the ninth elected term's vision, calling on employees to exchange ideas freely and build a vibrant organizational culture together.
"Yu Dong-gyun and all of you are now one team that will achieve a greater leap forward for Mapo," Yu said. "From this new starting line of the ninth elected term, let us trust and rely on each other as we run full speed toward 'Mapo on the Move Again! A Future Together.'"
