Broadcaster Kim Je-dong has resurfaced in public after a long absence.
Broadcaster Choi Yu-ra recently posted photos on her social media from a gathering she attended with fellow entertainers.
The photos showed Choi along with singers Lee Moon-se, No Sa-yeon and Shin Seung-hun, as well as broadcasters Lee Seong-mi and Kim Je-dong, at what appeared to be a restaurant.
"Boys and girls — we are people whose hearts are always those of a boy and a girl," Choi wrote. "Seong-mi unni said it: let's see the people we miss, while we still can. And so we gathered."
Choi went on to describe each companion. "Seong-mi unni is always our pillar. Moon-se oppa stands firm like a rock and keeps us centered. Sa-yeon unni has such a warm and generous heart. My friend Seung-hun is full of wit and humor. And Je-dong, the youngest, is just so endearing," she wrote.
"These are people I can say absolutely anything to and feel happy and at ease. Let's all stay healthy. Don't get sick. I love you all," she added.
Kim Je-dong drew particular attention in the photos, having largely stepped back from broadcast appearances in recent months. He looked somewhat gaunt but relaxed as he spent time with his colleagues.
Kim had also attended a separate gathering in January, when singer Yoon Jong-shin shared photos of the two meeting up with singer Lee Juck.
While Kim has been away from broadcasting, he has consistently stayed connected with the public through talk concerts. He held a run of his talk concert series — "Kim Je-dong Talk Concert: You Don't Even Know, THE Kim Je-dong" — at Sungam Art Hall from June 20 to June 28.
