Gyeongsan Mayor Cho Hyeon-il launched a new term as the 11th mayor of Gyeongsan under the 9th elected local government at a regular staff assembly Wednesday.

As a re-elected mayor, Cho skipped the transition committee process and moved directly into city administration, signaling his commitment to "uninterrupted development of Gyeongsan."

At the assembly, Cho presented commendations to meritorious employees and gave an award to Woojin Industrial, which had been selected as a city-designated "hope company." He then visited Jeda, an auto parts manufacturer, to encourage workers on the factory floor.

"I am sincerely grateful to the citizens who have again entrusted me with the important responsibility of leading Gyeongsan," Cho said. "I will make keeping my promises to citizens the top priority of city administration and deliver tangible changes they can feel in their daily lives."
