Filante drives domestic sales with 1,324 units sold; three in four domestic sales are hybrids
Renault Korea sold 4,651 vehicles in global markets in June, the company announced Tuesday.
Domestic sales totaled 3,400 units, down 32.2 percent from the same month a year earlier. The Filante led the lineup with 1,324 units sold.
Launched in the domestic market in March, the Filante is Renault's global flagship model, delivering a maximum output of 250 horsepower. It is equipped with an upgraded hybrid E-Tech powertrain that combines strong performance with an official combined fuel efficiency rating of 15.1 kilometers per liter.
The Grand Koleos followed with 1,313 units, and the Arkana came in third with 763 units. Hybrid models accounted for 2,529 units — roughly 75 percent of total domestic sales for the month.
A Renault Korea official said the company plans to introduce a 60-day return guarantee program for the Grand Koleos and other events to give more customers a chance to experience its vehicles before committing to a purchase.
Exports totaled 1,251 units, comprising 135 Grand Koleos (exported as the New Koleos), 76 Arkana and 1,034 Polestar 4 units. The company said it is adjusting production and shipping schedules in response to unstable international conditions.
