Dalseo-gu in Daegu will launch a pilot mobile electronic notification service for parking and stopping violation fines starting this month, the district office announced Tuesday.

The service replaces paper pre-notification letters previously sent by mail with digital notices delivered via KakaoTalk. Residents who complete identity verification and consent to electronic notifications can check the details directly on their mobile phones.

Those who do not check the electronic notice or opt out will continue to receive paper notices by mail, as before.

"We expect the introduction of the mobile electronic notification service to allow residents to access administrative services more conveniently and quickly," Dalseo-gu District Chief Kim Yong-pan said.
