Two-week roadshow spans Busan, Gangnam, Pangyo and Ilsan
About 160 prospective customers attend across four venues
Design, core technology and convenience features showcased
Pre-orders open at nine locations nationwide
Zeekr Korea is stepping up its push into the Korean market, hosting hands-on workshops for prospective buyers of its premium midsize electric SUV, the 7X, to walk them through the vehicle's design, technology and convenience features.
The company wrapped up its "7X Tech Workshop" series Tuesday, saying the events were designed to give interested buyers a deeper look at the vehicle's key features and build familiarity with the brand and product.
The workshop kicked off at the Zeekr Busan Haeundae Center+ on June 20, followed by stops at the Zeekr Gangnam Center on June 21, the Zeekr Pangyo Space on June 27 and the Zeekr Ilsan House on June 28. About 40 prospective customers attended each venue, bringing total attendance to roughly 160.
Each session was structured around brand introduction, design explanation, a technology segment and a hands-on vehicle experience. Attendees heard about Zeekr's brand direction through an "About Zeekr" session, then explored the exterior and interior design concepts of the 7X in a "Design Talk" segment.
A "Tech Insight" session covered the key technologies built into the 7X and the thinking behind their development. An "Experience 7X" program then gave participants a chance to explore the vehicle's convenience features firsthand. The events combined product explanation with direct experience — going beyond a simple display — to help potential buyers resolve questions before purchase.
One attendee said the workshop gave them a much deeper understanding of Zeekr as a brand and of the 7X specifically. "I was very satisfied to learn in depth about Zeekr and the 7X, which I had only a vague sense of before," the person said. "The Tech Session explaining the 7X's core technologies and their background was the most impressive part, and the Experience 7X session also felt like it would be genuinely useful when it comes time to buy."
The 7X is the first global lineup model Zeekr Korea is introducing to the domestic market. Since June 5, the vehicle has been on display and accepting pre-orders at nine locations nationwide — in Seoul's Gangnam, Seocho and Gangseo districts; Pangyo, Ilsan, Incheon and Suwon in Gyeonggi Province; Daejeon; and Busan.
Domestic pricing by trim is 52.99 million won ($34,300) for the Pro (RWD), 59.99 million won for the Max (RWD) and 69.99 million won for the Ultra (AWD). The pricing strategy appears aimed at securing an early customer base in the imported electric SUV segment by positioning the vehicle in the 50 million to 60 million won range.
"We organized the 7X Tech Workshop over two weeks to respond to the strong interest Korean consumers have shown in the Zeekr 7X," a Zeekr Korea official said. "We plan to continue holding various experience events so that more people can discover what makes the 7X special."
Building on the nine stores already open for pre-orders, Zeekr Korea plans to expand its retail network to 14 locations by the end of the year. The company also intends to establish 11 service centers across the country, including one on Jeju.
Zeekr is an electric vehicle brand under China's Geely Automobile Group. Geely recorded cumulative sales of 3,024,567 vehicles last year, of which 1,687,767 were new-energy vehicles.
