GS25 announced Tuesday it will export 18 additional products from its private brand YOU US to more than 250 Don Quijote stores across Japan.

The new shipment covers five ramyun varieties, six snack items and seven pouch drinks, totaling 250,000 units. The products will be sold through GS25-dedicated shelves near store entrances. Including this latest batch, cumulative exports have surpassed 500,000 units.

In its first export round last year, GS25 saw its "Squid Game Random Dalgona" named a hit product at Don Quijote. "Omori Kimchi Jjigae Ramyun," exported in January, has since ranked among the top sellers in the Korean ramyun category at the chain.

GS25 began exporting in 2017 at a scale of 200 million won ($130,000) and last year received the "10 Million Dollar Export Tower" award. Its export lineup has since grown to around 600 products shipped to more than 30 countries.

"Strong interest and enthusiasm from Japanese consumers has allowed us to expand our export lineup at Don Quijote," said Kim Hye-jung, manager of GS Retail's import-export merchandise team. "We will continue to promote K-convenience store culture through differentiated product competitiveness."
