Team Bridgestone's Jeong Han-mil captured his first career victory at the KPGA Gunsan CC Open in his 164th start as a professional. He has been partnered with equipment sponsor Bridgestone Golf since 2021, a relationship now in its sixth year.
Despite going winless for much of his career, Jeong steadily built the brand's trust through consistent play and dedicated effort. This victory proved that faith well-founded.
A shot eagle and a series of precise iron shots played a central role in securing the win. "On the second shot at hole 6 (par 4), there was a strong hook wind and the pin was on the right with a hazard right behind it — a really tough situation," Jeong said. "What sticks with me is trusting my iron and confidently hitting a low fade to make birdie." Bridgestone Golf's 241CB irons, from a brand long regarded as a leader in iron craftsmanship, have earned consistent trust from top players including Ko Jin-young, Lee Ye-won and Park Hyun-kyung.
Beyond his iron play, Jeong's sharp green-reading — repeatedly saving par in difficult moments — also drew attention. "The wind was strong and the greens were tricky, so controlling ball spin and trajectory was crucial," he said. "The TOUR B X ball gave me the distance when I needed it, and its solid feel gave me confidence on the putts as well."
