Kim Dae-ho, a former anchor-turned-broadcaster who turns 41 this year, says he still goes to nightclubs regularly.

Kim appeared as a guest on MBC's variety program "Radio Star" on Wednesday alongside lecturer Lee Ji-young, actor Gyeong Su-jin and editor Kim Min-kyung.

"I can still get into clubs. I've always loved them," Kim said on the show.

He said his living situation had long made loud music impractical. "When I lived in an officetel or a rooftop room, I couldn't play music at high volume," he said. "Wearing headphones for a long time hurts my ears, so I started going to clubs instead."

When co-host Yoo Se-yoon noted that Kim had become clubbing friends with musician Muzie and sometimes hit two or three venues in a single night, Kim said, "I'm a club grasshopper. I go to techno clubs a lot."

On his outfit choices, Kim said his style does not change for the occasion. "At techno clubs, nobody cares what you wear or what you do — it's even dark in there. Everyone comes in sunglasses," he said.

When co-host Kim Gu-ra asked whether he had ever been turned away at the door, Kim replied, "I've never once failed to get in."

He added that he loses himself completely in the music. "Five hours is nothing. I play until 4 or 5 in the morning," he said.

Kim is a former MBC anchor who went freelance in February last year. Since then, he has kept a busy schedule appearing on a variety of entertainment programs.
