Nowon-gu District Chief Oh Seung-rok attended the "2026 Social Solidarity Economy Education and Public Procurement Fair" on Tuesday afternoon at the main auditorium of the Nowon-gu District Office.
Now in its 10th year, the Nowon Social Solidarity Economy Public Procurement Fair was organized to raise awareness of social solidarity economy enterprises that pursue social value and to support their sales expansion through public procurement.
The event featured an educational session on the social solidarity economy to boost public understanding of the sector. Twenty local social solidarity economy companies also participated, running product and service exhibitions, promotional consultations and on-site purchasing programs to promote their businesses and open new sales channels. Procurement officers from public institutions — including the district office, the Seoul Northern District Office of Education and local schools — also attended.
"I was once again able to confirm on the ground that local social solidarity economy companies have more than enough competitiveness in terms of quality and ideas," Oh said. "We will continue to work through the fair to support these companies in opening new sales channels."
