Headquarters staff join cleanup drive at Mangwoo Historic Cultural Park in Jungnang-gu

Seoul Milk Cooperative said it held its second plogging volunteer event on June 19 at Mangwoo Historic Cultural Park in Jungnang-gu, Seoul.

The event, the second of its kind following one held in August last year, drew Chairman Moon Jin-seop, Standing Director Sa Hyeok and headquarters staff.

Seoul Milk Cooperative established an ESG Committee directly under the chairman in 2021, becoming the first company in the dairy industry to do so, and has since carried out a range of ESG initiatives. Since 2019, it has jointly operated 38 IoT-enabled paper carton recycling bins with the Jungnang-gu Office under an MOU, running a resource circulation project. The cooperative also continues community outreach, including donating dairy products to social welfare facilities in Jungnang-gu, sponsoring milk for vulnerable children and youth, and contributing scholarship funds.

"We will continue to lead sustainable ESG management by expanding eco-friendly activities in partnership with local communities," Chairman Moon said.
