The Born Korea announced Thursday it has launched a hansik-dedicated YouTube channel called TBK, leveraging the intellectual property of Chief Executive Baek Jong-won to break into the global sauce market.

The TBK channel introduces 11 QR sauces developed by The Born Korea and provides recipe videos and cooking tips through QR codes printed on each product. The channel's slogan is "SCAN & COOK! One QR, Anyone can be a Korean Chef." Its target audience ranges from chefs interested in developing hansik menus to restaurant operators and local food and retail industry contacts overseas. English subtitles are available.

The Born Korea has uploaded short-form videos showing Baek on overseas sauce sales calls, along with new recipe content under the series title "TBK Secret Recipe." Baek appears in the videos to demonstrate a jeyuk-bokkeum recipe using TBK sauces. To mark the channel's launch, the company is running a promotional event through June 19, offering the first 500 customers a free set of three sauces — doenjang jjigae sauce, spicy stir-fry sauce and spicy jjigae sauce — through its online store, The Born Mall.

The TBK QR sauce line, launched in September last year, has been drawing a steady stream of sample requests from five European countries and two Asian markets, with the United States as its primary focus. The Born Korea began selling the sauces on Amazon in April, and offline retail in Canada is set to launch in mid-June.
