Ulleung-gun in North Gyeongsang Province on Monday launched its "9th-term County Administration Innovation Policy Pledge Support Team" to back the second term of County Chief Nam Han-kwon.
Rather than forming a separate transition committee, the team will operate as a working-level body led by the deputy county chief, aimed at maximizing administrative continuity and efficiency.
Six teams will review and assess the progress and outcomes of major campaign pledges from the eighth term, covering airport-based tourism, social infrastructure, agriculture and fisheries, public health and welfare, ecological environment, and public administration.
Priority areas include preparations for the opening of Ulleung Airport, expanding tourism infrastructure, improving residential conditions, advancing the agriculture and fisheries industries, and strengthening medical and welfare services — all issues directly tied to residents' daily lives and the county's future.
"The ninth term is a critical period in which we must redesign and refine the future framework of Ulleung," Nam said. "We will move quickly so that the preparations translate into real change for Ulleung."
