K-pop group Enhypen joined the global push for blood donation Sunday by video calling WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on World Blood Donor Day.

In a video posted to WHO's official social media accounts that day, Tedros opened by announcing, "Today is World Blood Donor Day." He added, "This year, we have some special friends to celebrate with — let me give them a call," then connected via FaceTime.

The group greeted him with a message: "Happy World Blood Donor Day. We at Enhypen are so happy to celebrate this important day together with you, Director-General, and with WHO."

They went on to say, "Let's all donate blood together and save lives."

Tedros agreed. "Each one of us can save up to three lives with just a single blood donation," he said. "Together, we can bring hope to so many people around the world."

WHO said it was "honored" to have Enhypen take part in this year's World Blood Donor Day campaign. "Blood donation is more than a medical act — donors, you are creating a lifeline that connects and protects people around the world," the organization said.

In a separate video, Enhypen urged fans to "add one more drop of your love," saying, "Safe blood for everyone starts with you, the donors."

"Donate blood and save lives. Together, please share your drop," they added.
