Deli by Ashley, a deli brand operated by Eland Eats, has surpassed 1 million monthly sales for three consecutive months, the company announced Monday.

The brand first crossed the 1 million monthly sales threshold in March, then repeated the feat in April before selling 1.04 million units in May. Cumulative sales since launch have exceeded 17 million units. First-quarter sales this year grew 59 percent year-on-year.

Deli by Ashley is a deli brand built on the menu development expertise of Ashley Queens, Eland Eats' flagship buffet brand. It offers more than 150 restaurant-style menu items spanning salads, pasta, chicken and ready-to-eat dishes. Most products are priced at 3,990 won (about $2.90). Rising customer demand for affordable dining out, amid persistently high food prices, has driven the brand's growth.

The brand launched four new summer menu items on June 10, which have already sold more than 10,000 units in their first five days. The lineup includes konjac cold soba (3,990 won), spicy squid mul-hoe — a chilled raw fish dish — (5,990 won), shrimp soba maki (3,990 won) and yakisoba bread (3,990 won). The konjac cold soba and spicy squid mul-hoe in particular have posted strong early sales, buoyed by seasonal summer demand.

Deli by Ashley operates 17 stores nationwide, each producing its products fresh on-site daily. "We will continue to introduce menu items that resonate with customers and products that reflect the season," an Eland Eats official said.
