Ahn Byung-yun, mayor-elect of Yecheon-gun in North Gyeongsang Province, announced Sunday he will open a public suggestion channel — titled "Residents' Proposals: Tell the Mayor-Elect" — during the operation of the Yecheon Development Preparatory Committee, the transition body, to incorporate residents' voices into local governance.

Any Yecheon-gun resident may participate, and submissions are unrestricted in scope. Residents may submit ideas or requests on any aspect of county administration, including local economic revitalization, improved living conditions, cultural tourism development and welfare promotion.

Participation is open both online and in person. Residents can submit proposals through a dedicated channel on the Yecheon-gun website, or visit the nearest town or township administrative welfare center, fill out a suggestion form and drop it in the designated suggestion box.

"The most powerful force driving change in Yecheon comes from the voices of its residents," Ahn said. "I hope many residents will show strong interest and participate actively so we can build a successful ninth term of elected local government together."
