The Seocho-gu district office said its outdoor classical music festival, "Seocho Classic Theme Park," drew approximately 10,000 visitors and concluded successfully after running from June 12 through June 14 at Dwitbeol Children's Park in Bangbae-dong, Seoul.

Organized around the theme of "classical music as an accessible part of everyday life," the festival combined performances with recreational and hands-on programs in a theme park-style format. Throughout the event, families and couples spread picnic mats across the park to enjoy the performances, while residents filled every corner of the grounds with activity.

During daytime hours, a "Classic Adventure" zone featuring a real carousel and Viking ride, along with a "Classic Water Park" program, proved especially popular with children.

The festival's centerpiece was the June 13 evening main performance, "Starry Night Maestro," in which conductor Baek Yun-hak — known as the "dancing conductor" — led the 40-member Eum Orchestra alongside musical actor Kai in a program blending classical music and musical theater. The following evening, celebrated musical theater couple Son Jun-ho and Kim So-hyeon took the stage for "Moonlight Musical," bringing the festival to a close.

The festival was designed to work in tandem with the Bangbae Cafe Street commercial district, encouraging visitors to explore local businesses and fostering community ties. Organizers also prioritized cultural accessibility by reserving dedicated seating in front of the stage for visitors with mobility needs and offering telephone registration for those less comfortable with digital services.

To extend the festival's momentum, the district will share photos from the event on its official Instagram account and run a visitor review event through June 21. Participants can post a festival photo and review on their personal Instagram account, then submit the official review form linked in the district's Instagram profile. Winners, selected by draw, will receive special gifts and will be notified individually from June 22 onward.

"It was a meaningful occasion where many residents were able to create special memories by enjoying classical performances and a wide range of hands-on programs together," District Mayor Jeon said. "We will continue to expand lifestyle-oriented cultural festivals that bring the arts closer to everyday life."
