New design to be rolled out gradually across upcoming pre-sale complexes

Hanwha Construction & Engineering announced Wednesday that it has developed "Forena Journey," an integrated gate pillar and entrance design for its Hanwha Forena apartment brand, and plans to apply it gradually to upcoming pre-sale complexes.

While the previously developed exterior design "Forena Vista" focused on the appearance of buildings from a distance, Forena Journey centers on the close-up experience residents encounter as they move from the complex entrance to each building.

The defining concept of Forena Journey is transforming the path through a complex from a simple route into a curated journey, designed so residents encounter a differentiated spatial experience at every moment of their daily routine. The gate pillars use bold color contrasts in stone materials to draw the eye, while their structural massing conveys a sense of grandeur befitting a premium complex. Brand patterns rendered in stone are applied to the sides of the pillars, and gradient LED lighting installed on the ceilings adds a further layer of distinction.

The parking garage entry ramp uses the same stone materials as the gate pillars to reinforce brand consistency, extending a unified design language from the complex's main entrance all the way to the below-ground parking level.

The design of individual building entrances is also changing. Where previous entrances were open in form, the new design introduces screening walls that project a clean, orderly appearance to the outside while creating a sense of calm within.

"The gate pillars and building entrances are the common spaces residents experience most closely," said Kim Min-seok, head of the architectural project division at Hanwha Construction & Engineering. "We will continue to strengthen what makes Hanwha Forena distinctive, so that every move through the complex feels like a journey of its own."
