A second-phase logistics center at Incheon Port's Aam Logistics Complex 2 will break ground in the second half of this year.

The Incheon Port Authority (IPA) signed a move-in project contract Wednesday with Baengma General Logistics Co. for the complex's second-phase mixed-use logistics site, designated zone "GA-3."

Baengma General Logistics was selected in April as the preferred negotiating partner for the GA-3 zone — a 23,725.3-square-meter plot within the second-phase site of Aam Logistics Complex 2.

With the contract signed, Baengma General Logistics has secured official tenant status. The company will proceed through building permit approvals and lease contract procedures before beginning construction of the logistics center in the second half of this year.

The center will have a total floor area of 12,836 square meters and is scheduled to be completed in August 2027. Once operational, it will function as a combined import-export logistics hub handling sea-and-air multimodal transport, international cargo transshipment, frozen and refrigerated seafood exports, and less-than-container load imports.

IPA projects that the new center will add an average of 7,571 TEUs per year to Incheon Port's cargo volume once it begins operations.

IPA plans to re-advertise the remaining second-phase lots at Aam Logistics Complex 2 this month.
